Aside from protecting marine creatures, the park also aims to educate and teach people to appreciate and discover the many natural wonders in the area. Guests also come to the park to enjoy scuba diving and other festivals that the park plays host to. The park is co-managed by Parks Canada and by Societe des etablissements de plein air du Quebec.
