Opened in April 1967, La Ronde is the largest amusement park in Quebec, Montreal. The park is owned and operated by Six Flags and sits on a 146-acre property. La Ronde’s most famous attraction is the international fireworks competition called L’International des Feux Loto-Quebec.
La Ronde is open to the public from May to October, which ends with the annual La Ronde’s Fright Fest to celebrate Halloween. The amusement park showcases a total of 40 rides including 10 roller coasters and three water rides. The rides are categorized into different types: roller coasters, thrill rides, family and kids’ rides, intermediate rides, and panoramic rides. There are also three paid attractions within the park including the Sling Shot, which costs $20 per person; Catapulte, which costs $20 per person or $10 each for three people; and the Go-Kart which costs $15 per person for a five-minute ride.
Just like other Six Flags parks, La Ronde attracts millions of visitors yearly.
