At 10,878 square kilometers, Jasper National Park is the largest national park in the Canadian Rockies and located in Alberta. Established in 1907, the national park was named after Jasper Haws, a trading post operator for the North West Company. The park gained its national park status in 1930 and has been attracting more than 2 million visitors every year.

Jasper National Park offers its guests with several features. For example, the major river systems of Athabasca and Smoky originate in the area. Several types of animals also roam freely in the park including elks, bears, coyotes, beavers, sheep, goats, wolverines, cougars and many more. The UNESCO World Heritage Site has several other attractions such as Mount Edith Cavell, Tonquin Valley, Medicine Lake, Pyramid Lake and Pyramid Mountain and Maligne Lake.
